GENERALI, a leading insurer.
To translate insurance product information documents from Italian into German for consultation and distribution in the province of Bolzano. Specifically, the client required the translation of 15 “Life” products (each product consisted of at least 3 documents – insurance conditions; a pre-contractual information document/additional pre-contractual information document; a product summary) + 1 “Automobile” product + 1 “Motorcycle” product. The source documents were in .pdf format, paged by an external partner.
Simultaneous translation of the files by a team of translators using Dotwords technology; proofreading; checks on the .pdf page layouts by an external partner.
The Dotwords team handled the translation of the Italian source files into German. The “Life” products were subdivided into a number of subcategories, each of which was assigned to a single translator to speed up and facilitate the translation work and subsequent proofreading.
A content alignment was then performed based on the translations previously provided in other languages for the same content and the same client, to ensure consistency and continuity.
The page layouts were then checked – by an external partner – before the .pdf files were delivered to the client.
